Fall Semester Comes to an End

Greetings Lady Bear Fans,

Its been a long time and so much has gone on since the last time I checked in, needless to say we've been extremely busy with school considering the fact that the semester is about to end and ball (of course).

Guess I should begin with saying the things that are freshest on my mind, Great job Baylor football and congrats to Robert, Jake and Joe for their Big 12 honors.

Right now, I am working on finishing the semester and beginning to study for final exams... oh the life of a college student-athlete. We just got back from a wonderful trip to the Virgin Islands over Thanksgiving break. It was beautiful (I would like to take a 30-second timeout to thank Mr. Ian McCaw for that as well as the Baylor Athletic Department because it's truly a blessing to have the opportunity to see such a wonderful place). Now, back to business, we went there, won two games, and disappointingly fell short in the championship game to a good Wisconsin team. One good thing about that is, it's early and there are a lot of things Coach Mulkey and the coaching staff can correct before hitting the remainder of our preseason and the Big 12 regular season.

We chartered a flight with Texas Tech and of course, we had a host of Baylor faithful taking the trip with us. although, the Virgin Islands is a great place to play basketball, there is no place like home, and I'm happy to be back in Waco and ready to play in front of the home fans again!

We will take on a good St. John's team Saturday night and I hope to see you all there supporting us. Well I have my first class in eight minutes so until next time....

PS - Since it's been so long between blogs, I almost forgot to thanks all of our wonderful fans for all of their vocal and moral support when we played Stanford here. It was a truly awesome win for the program and our fans played a role in that victory!!!
